Becoming a GOOGLE Ninja- Step Three Search Sensei Part 3

If you can master Google, you are well on your way to becoming a tech ninja or at least impressing your friends.  Yesterday we discussed how to use the advanced search feature to search more effectively.   Today we will also look at some search features that are hidden in plain sight.  The first is the More Button, which is in line with the Images, Maps, Shopping and News buttons.  When you click on the More Button you get the options to search Google Videos, Google Books, Google Places, Google Blogs (you can always search for the Tech Ninja Blog), Flights, Google Discussions, Recipes, Applications and Patents.  One way I use this if there is a certain video I am looking to show in class.
If you click on the Search Tools button, which is next to the More Button, you also get the options for time, which you can set to any time, the past hour, the past 24 hours, the past week, the past month or the past year.  You can also set a custom range if you are looking for something from a certain period in the past.    The Search Tools button gives you results features where you will only get results from sites with images, Dictionary results, nearby results, translated foreign pages, and verbatim results.  You also get results based on reading level where it sets its beginner, medium and high.   The last section under the Search Tools button is setting the location, its auto default is your current location, but you can easily change that to any location.  Check back tomorrow for Step Four Becoming a GOOGLE Ninja.
